On 16th-19th of October Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute held VII International Festival of Innovation Projects Sikorsky Challenge 2018, where Sumy State University project “Nanoink 2D&3D” was pronounced the winner in nomination “The best idea”.

The project is created on the base of scientific work of the Department of Electronics and Computer Science of SSU under the guidance of PhD, Professor Anatoliy Opanasyuk, technical manager – second year PhD student Oleksandr Huzenko, project manager – the Head of the Center of Computer Technologies Andrii Piven.

The project offers customers services in the manufacture of flexible non-standard electronics, including 3D objects. Generated nanoink allows to print current conducting elements by ordinary pen, inkjet printer or 3D-printer.

Also the trilateral agreement of partnership for project development was signed among designers, science park of KPI and investor – Volodymyr Mykhalevych Fund of scientific and technical development of Ukraine. The agreement of cooperation among SSU Startup Center and Polish ABAN Fund, organizers of MakerFire in Ukraine in 2019, has been reached.

The Sikorsky Challenge competition is one of the most important annuak events in the field of innovation in Ukraine. It usually involves project developers in many fields of science and technology as well as representatives of large investment business. SSU supported and joined to participate from the beginning of the development of Sikorsky Challenge innovative environment as a model of ecosystem uniting startup centers of leading HEI (2016).
