The Catering Complex

Areas of activity:

  • organization of meals for students, teachers, university staff, and citizens in order to fulfill their needs;
  • organization and implementation of advanced technologies and forms of service;
  • increasing the culture of consumption;
  • manufacturing and sale of own products;
  • expanding the assortment of products through the sale of food products from other manufacturers;
  • providing on the material basis of the catering complex (CC) of various educational, entertaining actions with participation of structural divisions of the university.

The catering complex accepts orders for culinary, flour, and confectionery products with address delivery.

The structure of the catering complex:

  • University canteen (designed for 274 seats),
  • a canteen of SumDU Medical Institute (80 seats),
  • a canteen of SumDU Machine-Building College,
  • cafeterias of the Main and the New buildings (60 and 40 seats respectively),
  • cafeterias in academic buildings,

As well as objects in the Separate Structural Group:

  • dining room № 1 (39 Soborna Str.) - 40 seats,
  • dining room № 2 (57 Petropavlivska Str.) - 45 seats,
  • dormitory cafe № 2-A (10 Yakira Str.) - 40 seats,
  • cafe of the dormitory-hotel (38/2 Prokofieva Str.) - 34 seats,
  • coffee club of the scientific library (9/1 Pokrovska Str.) - 35 seats,
  • cafeterias in the academic buildings.

The catering complex is serviced by 82 employees, the SumDU Catering Council is constantly operating.

The university canteen is open daily (except weekends) from 9 AM to 3 PM. The cafeteria and canteen in the Central building of SumDU are open every Saturday. From September 1, 2015, the New building has a cafeteria with hot meals and a canteen. The students, teachers, and staff of the university are offered a menu with a wide assortment: first dishes, side dishes, meat and fish dishes, salads, juices, tea, coffee, delicious pastries, and sweet desserts. The average cost of lunch is UAH 30-35. The students are offered a set lunch of an average cost of UAH 25-30 - it can be ordered upon presentation of a student ticket.

The complex of public catering provides other services – organization of holiday and ritual events coordinated with the university Vice-rector for scientific and pedagogic work and extracurricular activities.
