This School is a joint project of SSU and Charitable Foundation ‘Ukrainian Social Academy’, which was implemented from September to the end of December 2016 at SSU Congress Center. The project was aimed to promote the development of social innovation and entrepreneurship in Sumy, and teach everyone to manage projects, work in the team of likeminded people, deal with finances, plan and achieve business goals.
The lecturers and speakers of the School for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship were young scientists, progressive teachers of SSU (Doctor of Economics, Professor Tetyana Vasylyeva; Doctor of Economics, Professor Serhiy Leonov; Doctor of Economics Yuriy Petrushenko) and Institute of International Relations (Kyiv), professional marketers, managers of business-companies, 1+1 Media Group, Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA), GrowthUP+ Venture Seed Fund.
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine Viktor Mashtabei and Lviv businessman, the owner of 9 factories in the Western Ukraine, public figure, co-founder of Lviv Business School (LvBS) Yarolsav Rushchyshyn were top-speakers of the School.
The study programme of the School consisted of 4 thematic modules: ‘The ethical values of modern business leader’, ‘Social entrepreneurship: strategic planning and communications’, ‘Start-up: values, fundraising, social promotion’, ‘Practical aspects of preparing business projects’.
In the format of public discussion the participants presented their projects and received helpful comments and pieces of advice. Despite completing the studies at the School presented project ideas will continue to be developed with mentoring support of lecturers and speakers of the School until their implementation.
All participants were awarded certificates.
