Viadrinicum BorderLab Summer School 2017

(28.08.2017 - 10.09.2017)

Viadrinicum is an annual summer school dedicated to the countries of the Eastern Partnership region. This year the programme includes the seminars and workshops on the analysis of the role of borders in conflict areas of the Eastern Partnership region. Besides the academic part, participants of the school will also be able to develop their own small projects under the close guidance of professional experts from the field of documentary filmmaking, art and journalism.

During summer school Ukrainian participants can attend a German language class.

Venue: Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder), Germany.

Eligible participants: students and post-graduate students (any training directions).

Participation requirements: profound knowledge of English.

Financial support: participation is free of charge. There are scholarships for covering transportation expenses (€150 –700 depending on the participant’s country of residence).

The programme provides opportunities to support different qualification and career stages. The programme aims to support short-term research internships and establish professional relationships with colleagues.

Eligible participants: HEI lecturers and researchers of any major.

Funding duration: 1-3 months.

Financial support: monthly payments (2.000 EUR for assistants, senior lecturers and Associate Professors, and 2.150 EUR for Professors), travel assistance.
