Department of International Relations (DIR) is a coordinating structural division of Sumy State University. It was created for development and implementation of strategy of international affairs of the University, expansion and intensification of foreign contacts, promotion of international cooperation in the sphere of education and science.
Department activities are directed at the following points:
- academic and scientific cooperation with foreign educational institutions and research organizations;
- participation in international programs and grant projects;
- organization of mobility of professorial and scholar staff;
- participation in international forums, conferences, workshops;
- reception of foreign delegations and specialists;
- organization of additional language practice for students;
- establishment and support of relations with diplomatic representatives of other countries.
